The adhesives of the ACRALOCK SA1 series are highly developed, medium viscosity 2-component structural adhesives based on methlymethacrylate in a mixing ratio of 1:1. They are characterised by high tensile strength combined with excellent peel strength, excellent fatigue values and medium elongation at break of approx. 50-75 %. In addition, these adhesives are well suited for primerless bonding of metals, thermoset and thermoplastic materials as well as difficult-to-bond surfaces such as electroplated materials, p-DCPD RIM components and nylon. The combination of minimal substrate pre-treatment (a1,2), rapid cure (a5) (resulting in short cycle times) and no mark-through of the bond line to the surface makes the SA1 Series the ideal tool for a wide range of thin film bonding applications. The SA1 series is available in processing times of 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 60 minutes and is already used by many well-known manufacturers in various industrial sectors as an adhesive for bonding high-strength components. The SA1 Series is supplied in ready-to-use 50ml and 400ml cartridges as well as 20 litre buckets and 200 litre drums which can be applied using standard adhesive dispensing equipment.
