3M Wind Protection Tapes

3M™ Wind Protection Tapes help to protect leading edges and surfaces from pitting, wear and water ingress. 3M™ Wind Protection Tapes are made of tough, abrasion-resistant polyurethane elastomers and resist piercing, tearing, erosion and weathering. They are UV-stable, solvent-free and adapt to complex shapes.
They do not require special application tools and can be easily applied both in the factory and in the field via rope or platform access. The 3M™ Wind Protection Tapes are based on the same reliable technology that has been developed to protect helicopter blades and aircraft radomes for over 40 years. These high performance polyurethane tapes, applied to the leading edge of rotor blades, have a proven ability to maintain turbine efficiency, reduce downtime and maintenance and extend blade life, even in the harshest environments.
