Serrations

Trailing edge serrations as a retrofit solution for noise reduction on Senvion wind turbines.

The serrations offer an optimum combination of noise minimisation, fast and safe installation, durability thanks to materials that have been tried and tested over many years, and neutrality in the load behaviour of the turbine. The solution was successfully tested on the 3.2M122 and a reduction of the sound power level in the height of one operating mode was achieved. Thus, sound-optimised operation can be bypassed at night, the yield can be increased and the acceptance of the residents can be increased during the day.

The serrations consist of several modules, which can also be applied to the Senvion 3.XM series as well as the MM82 and MM92 with "RE" rotor blade generation.
