3M Zeta Plus C Series Filter Cartridge, Z16MD 30C, 1/Case

Our family of 3M Zeta Plus C Series Filters are composed of advanced cellulose-based depth filtration media, designed to retain contaminants by both mechanical entrapment and electrokinetic adsorption. 3M Zeta Plus filter media itself is composed of high surface area filter aids embedded in a cellulose fibre matrix. During the manufacturing process, we chemically bind positively charged molecules to the filter matrix to permanently form an interconnected filtration structure with positively charged electrokinetic capture sites. The resulting porous depth filter is a complex network of charge-enhanced flow channels capable of removing bacteria, particulate, cellular debris and submicronic contaminants to a level which mechanical screening alone cannot achieve. Our cartridges are constructed from individual cells of 3M Zeta Plus C series filter medium assembled together with polypropylene ring seals under predetermined compression and unitized by three, 316 stainless steel bands. Each cell is constructed using polypropylene moulded edge seals and separators for high performance. Various gasket materials are available depending upon application. 3M Zeta Plus C series filter media is available in a broad range of grades to meet coarse, medium or fine clarification applications. Optimum flow rates vary by application, but in general, lower flux rates often result in longer service life, greater throughputs and superior system economics. The lenticular depth filters used in Zeta Plus systems are fabricated from two circular discs of filter media bonded along the outside rim and separated by a filtrate outlet tube at the centre, which gives the disc its characteristic lens shape. Each 3M Zeta Plus disc can then stacked along a common intake manifold. The discs are encapsulated in a cylindrical housing to complete the cartridge assembly.
