Problem: Mechanical breakdown of the torque support and the gearbox bearing are often due to excessive load, caused by the high spring stiffness in conventional rubber-metal springs.
Solution for the 4-Point-Gearbox mounting in wind power stations: Reducing the spring stiffness and therefore increasing of the spring deflection by conditioned and bound Urelast springs. The binding is achieved by an additional metal spring plate or a carbon cover on both sides of the Urelast spring.
