3M Wind Protection Tape 2.0 W8750 are manufactured from an exceptionally hard, abrasion-resistant, translucent polyurethane elastomer and can significantly reduce and even eliminate leading edge erosion on wind turbine blades.
3M Wind Protection Tape 2.0 W8750 protect leading edges and surfaces from pitting, wear and water penetration. Made of rugged, abrasion-resistant polyurethane elastomers, 3M Wind Protection Tape 2.0 W8750 withstand punctures, tearing, erosion and weathering. They are UV-stable, solvent-free and adapt to complex shapes. Special assembly tools are not required. They can be easily applied at the factory or on site via access via ropes or platforms. These high-performance polyurethane adhesive tapes are applied to the leading edges of wind turbine blades and have been proven to contribute to turbine efficiency, reduce downtime and maintenance, and extend the life of turbine blades - even in the harshest environments.
